Mighty Five Star is based in the Western Cape and plays in the SAFA SAB Regional League. Apart from the league matches that are played all over the Western Cape in its 5 municipal area such as Stellenbosch, Breede River, Witzeburg, Drakenstein and Breede Valley, the SAB teams take part in the national competitions such Nedbank Cup alongside the National First Division and Premier Soccer League teams.
Aphiwe Mpotololo passes away

It is with great sadness to announce to you sudden death of Aphelele Mpotololo, one of our newly promoted young players who joined our SAB 21 Under 21 League this season. Aphelele was one of the promising players who had great potential. He was murdered in cold blood during the early hours of Sunday, 02 October 2011 in Kayamandi following a series of entertainment events in the township.
His memorial service will be held on Tuedsay, 11 October 2011 at 18:00, Baptist Church, Kayamandi. He will be layed to rest in the Eastern Cape on Saturday, 15 October 2011.
While his tragic death is still a shock to all our members, we strive to ensure that soccer business continues without any disruptions to our league schedule.
He will be greatly missed for his commitment and hard work. Our prayers are with his family during this time of bereavement.

SAB League Team:
After negotiations with Kayamandi Sports Council, MFS senior team will be training at Kayamandi stadium as from next week, Monday, 10 October 2011 @17:30 until 19:30. This move was welcomed by the club and the coach is excited to have the team train at the stadium.

MFS senior expected to have practice games against Nietvoorbij FC on Tuesday, 27 September 2011 and De Beers AFC on Thursday, 29 September 2011 at De Beers Stadium.
MFS expecting three (3) Nigerian players:
Following engagement with Nigerian Sport Academy, SCODA Sport Academy, MFS will be geeting three Nigerian players from SCODA to play in the senior team.
